Are Trailer Turn Signals Working Opposite of 1997 Ford Ranger Turn Signals with Brake Pressed Normal

I have this same unit i purchased from etrailer less then a year ago, and my question is, is it normal that when the left or right turn signals are activated and you apply the brakes that the turn signals will then blink at a different time then one another. Then when the brake is released they blink normal, at the same time. Example: Left or right turn signal activated then press the brake while turn signal is activated. Then the turn signal on truck will blink on and the trailer will blink off, then the signal on truck will blink off and trailer will blink on. Once the brake is released they blink at the same time. Is this normal. 1997 ford ranger. Just dont want it to harm anything. Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with the installation of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118325 on your 1997 Ford Ranger. Your trailer lights working opposite of your Ranger turn signals when you press the brake pedal is actually pretty common.
