Will the Truck Bed Cargo Camera Part # 3460001 Replace the Tailgate Camera on a 2018 Ford F-350
Question:
Will this camera work when the tailgate camera is disconnected and capped off when removing the tailgate on the bed. I get a message that the camera is disconnected as you would expect. By engaging the switch, will the bed camera image show up on my 8 inch screen?

Yes, the Truck Bed Cargo Camera part # 3460001 which is correct for your 2018 Ford F-350 will work with the factory backup camera disconnected. In fact, it can be used to replace the factory backup camera so you no longer have the disconnected message. In order to do this you will just want to install the camera like normal but leave out the switch.
