So i have a harbor freight trailer hf part number 90154 and im trying to replace axle for a 5 lug axle with 2000 cap along with hubs seals and all thats not metric. As well a set of 12inch rims with tires. Or can i just leave the axle it has now and just upgrade hubs to 5 lug ? And advice on what else you guys will recomend of me replacing. Thank you much Ps. I put some a pic of the trailer info and heres the bearing part# for the huds it has now 30205A

Expert Reply:

The bearing that you have on the trailer hub measures just under 1 inch (0.985) and we are not going to have a hub that accepts a bearing with an inner diameter of that size. This is common for the trailer kits like the Haul Master branded trailers. You have 2 options though.

First, to obtain the right size replacement parts you would have to go to through the manufacturer since the spindles are not a common size.

Second, and the best option, replace the axle like you mentioned since it will get you the capacity and bolt pattern you are wanting.

To pick out an axle you'll need two more pieces of info. You'll need to know the distance between the hub faces on your current axle and the distance between the spring centers. With that and the capacity and bolt pattern you want you'll be able to pick out the correct axle.
