Slider Function of PullRite SuperGlide and Demco Hijacker 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

Pullrite SuperGlide #2700. You mentioned that the Demco Hyjacker also work and gives additional clearance when backing up just like when turning going forward. Does the Pullrite Superglide also work going backwords?

We do not currently carry PullRite products but it looks like the automatic slider mechanism on the SuperGlide hitch you mentioned will operate whether going forward or backwards in the truck.

Between these 2 models though I do recommend the Demco Hijacker # DM8550034. This is because in addition to having a higher towing capacity of 18,000 pounds (compared to 16,000 on the PullRite) the Hijacker also features a superior wraparound single-piece jaw coupled with a 3/4 inch thick steel locking bar that provides both an extremely secure connection with the trailer and a really smooth ride during travel. The SuperGlide while also having a single-piece jaw has a different design where it hugs the king pin against the side of the head, allowing for a little more movement and rattle.

The Hijacker also allows for various height settings (15-1/4 inches, 16-1/2 inches, and 18 inches) while the SuperGlide has just one fixed height.
