High Capacity Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Ram 3500

Question:

I have a ram 3500 dually rated to tow 30k and with all that was going on I overlooked the fact that it didn’t have the factory installed prep package. So I just have an empty bed. My question is should I have a ram dealer or order and have someone install the factory prep system. Or is it an advantage that it didn’t come with one and should I just go with a aftermarket setup? And if so which make and model? Thinking fifth wheel vs ball hitch

The highest rated fifth wheel option we have for your 2018 Ram 3500 without the factory rail kit has a 26k capacity and is the Husky 26k part # HT31318-31325 and requires the rail kit part # HT32221-686.

We do offer gooseneck hitches that fit your vehicle that do have a 30k capacity like the B and W part # BWGNRK1314. An added benefit to this gooseneck hitch is that it doubles as a rail kit for the Companion fifth wheel hitch part # BWRVK3500 which is considered by many to be the nicest fifth wheel hitch around. This hitch has a 20,000 lb capacity though.
