How to Select Best Transmission Cooler for 2012 Chevy Silverado
Question:
2012 Chevy Silverado 5.3 liter 3.42 gear. Looking for the best trans cooler for my truck I pull a travel trailer that is about 8000 lbs and it is hot in the summer would like one with a fan ?? Help

The best transmission cooler for your 2012 Chevy Silverado is going to be the largest one that fits.
A unit with a fan will give your truck optimum cooling power, but you do need to measure to ensure that you have enough room for this type of cooler to fit because a unit with a fan will take up more room.
For example, the Derale 16-Pass Electra-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler # D15900 measures 15-3/4" wide x 11-1/2 " tall x 5" deep so you would need to find that amount of space under the hood of your Silverado in order to mount it.
