First thing you'll want is a trailer hitch for your 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. For that I recommend the USA made etrailer.com hitch part # e98854 because it has more capacity that you'd need at 4,000 lb trailer weight, installs easily, and has a concealed crosstube which makes it less visible and gives better ground clearance.

Then for trailer wiring I recommend the Tekonsha Kit part # 118534 because it installs without requiring any hardwiring or splicing and also it has the most reliable converter box of all of the kits we offer.

Since you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

Since you'll be towing at the capacity of the vehicle I also strongly recommend a transmission cooler. Heat is the number one killer of transmissions and towing causes a lot of heat so a cooler like the # D13503 is a great idea. I attached an install video for this cooler that shows it installed on a very similar 2013 Grand Caravan for you to check out as well.
