For your 2017 Ford F-350, the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W is one of the most popular 5th wheel hitch options. It is extremely well made in the USA and is designed to work with the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1116-5W so you get that clean bed when not in use. The underbed gooseneck hitch will add 137 lbs to your truck and then when you add the 5th wheel hitch it will be an additional 205 lbs.
If you have a short bed truck you will use the same gooseneck/underbed system, but you will need the sliding Companion hitch # BWRVK3400-5W for turning clearance. I've attached a video to assist.
This combination is an excellent choice for 5th wheel towing. You may also want to consider using the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # 41157 to add a second 7-way to the bed of your truck for easy connection access.
