Troubleshooting Prodigy P2 Brake Controller with S.H Code

The S.H code that you are seeing displayed on your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 means that the controller is seeing a short on the brake wire while you are idling. Tekonsha states in the instructions that this can be caused by using testers that are not Tekonsha brands. I have attached a clip from the instructions for you to check out.

If you don't have a tester try checking out your 7-Way connector and making sure that all of the pins are in good condition and no corrosion is present.

The next step would be to inspect your wiring itself. Following the wiring that runs to the pin in the 5 o'clock position on the 7-Way connector vehicle side and swap out any sections that are bent or damaged. This should fix your problem.
