Cost Effective Trailer Hitch for a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500
Question:
Do you have similar item for a 1997 1500 Ram truck, 1500?

Expert Reply:
The rear bumper support tube is not present on a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 therefore you cannot use the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E98852 or one similar for that matter. Instead, you will need to use a frame mount trailer hitch like the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75101. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver installs using pre-drilled holes in the frame. It comes with all of the hardware required to do so.
I have attached a copy of the installation instructions for you.
