Trailer Hitch for 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Highest Tongue Weight Capacity

I own a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4. I am contemplating purchasing the Black Widow Heavy Duty Steel Motorcycle Carrier – 600 lb. Capacity. Im hoping to load my 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600 onto it and take it on a 9 hour trip back to my hometown. This will put an approximate tongue weight of under 20 of my supposed max tow weight. I am curious to know what the negative effects could be and if it even plausible for me to do? I would do a trip like this often, maybe 2 round trips a year if that at least until I can afford a trailer and have space for it.

As long as you are under the tongue weight capacity of your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4 you are totally safe to do what you mentioned. Towing capacities are set at a weight that is perfectly safe for the vehicle. So if you are 20 lbs under the tongue weight capacity you are totally fine.
