Can 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with Aftermarket Bumper be Flat Towed
Question:
I want to flat tow my jeep. I intend to use a BlueOx or similar tow bar. I want an aftermarket front bumper that is designed to be strong enough to use the shackle attachment points to attach the towbar to the Jeep. Most of the bumpers I find are made from 5/32 or 3/16 plate stock, I did find one w/a 1/4inch thick center section but dont remember who makes it. Most bumpers carry a warning that they are not tested/approved for attachment of a towbar. Please advise, thank you,

Most replacement bumpers out there for your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited like the Bestop HighRock part # B4291001 that you referenced aren't rated for use with a tow bar. There are some aftermarket bumpers that do have this ability but we do not carry them. For example if you had a Smittybilt XRC Atlas bumper you could use a Blue Ox adapter # BX88357 to connect a Blue Ox Tow Bar like the part # BX7420.
This would be the best option I could point you in!
