Question:
Will the timberline towers work on a 2012 Nissan Xterra factory roof rack core bars? I am considering buying the sky rise had rooftop tent but Yakima says it won’t fit my vehicle. If the recommended streamline roof rack from Yakima fits on my factory core bars with the timberline towers I should be able to carry the rooftop tent on my Xterra,

We do have a solution for you but the Yakima Timberline towers # Y00147 are not a fit for your 2012 Nissan Xterra. Instead use the Rhino-Rack Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs # RRSX008 and Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA118B-2. This gives you the 165 pound roof rack capacity needed for a rooftop tent like the Yakima SkyRise HD # Y07437
This combination of the Rhino-Rack roof rack and the Yakima tent gives you what you are seeking without voiding either warranty.
