Availability of 2 Bike Hitch Bike Rack That Will Work on the Rear of a Fifth Wheel
Question:
Any problems using the TH69TX on a 5th wheel frame-mounted 2 inch receiver? Anything else I should consider? Thanks

I do have a platform style 2-bike hitch rack that will work on the rear of a fifth wheel, but it is not the Thule T2 Pro HTR Hitch Bike Rack, part # TH83JV. The Thule bike rack does not meet the testing standards that is required for use on the rear of an fifth wheel or travel trailer but is rated for use on a motor home. The product could fail on a 5th wheel and cause lots of damage. ( I just might be speaking from experience on this.)
A hitch bike rack will encounter additional forces when used on the rear of a RV, so it has to be able to withstand those forces.
I would recommend the Swagman XTC2 Platform 2 Bike Rack, part # S64670. This is an approved hitch bike rack that will work on the rear of your fifth wheel. It will carry 2 bikes with a maximum weight limit of 35 lbs per bike. The maximum bike wheel base it will carry is 66 inches. I am including a link to a video review of the Swagman bike rack.
