Adapter Recommendation for Fitting Kids Bike on Curt 4 Bike Rack # C18030
Question:
i tried and tried without luck putting a childs bike, 20 in wheel? the 2-arm design seems too wide to fit the frame. not sure if i was doing right? my car is 2015 rav4

Kids bikes like what you sent in a picture of can be difficult mounting on hanging bike racks since the frames are so small. The solution is an adapter bar like the part # UB01 which attaches to the seat post and then to the steering stem of the bike and provides a horizontal attachment point that is wider for the bike rack to attach to.
