Aluminum Boat Trailer Fender for 13 Wheels

Question:

I have a Road King trailer for my skiff. The plastic fenders are cracked and one is broken. It has 13 inch wheels. The fenders kinda look like the Fulton fenders. The problem Im running into is the mounting brackets are 30 inch apart. I keep finding 28, 30.25. 32, etc mounts on replacement fenders. I would like to replace them with an aluminum or steel fender that wont crack if stepped on but cant find anything that looks like it would work. Any suggestions? Thanks,

From my understanding, the Road King trailers are aluminum so that would rule out a steel fender because those would need to be welded on.

The Fulton Single Axle Trailer Fender with Top and Side Steps # F008583 won't crack when stepped on as they do have the side and top step; they will work with brackets that are 30" apart, because the inside to inside distance for bracket mounting is 28" and the bracket slot is 4" wide so you could use these fenders. They are in Black but there is also the same thing in White at part # F008573.

Another option would be to remove your mounting brackets and install Mounting Brackets for Trailer Fender - 13"/14"/15" Wheels # CE26098G-2 if you can. If you are able to remove those brackets then you would be able to bolt on the CE Smith Single Axle Trailer Fender - Aluminum Tread Plate # CE17960ATB which is 28" Long x 9" wide x 16" tall, made of 14-gauge aluminum and works with 13" diameter wheels like you have though you may need to be careful as these are not necessarily designed to be stepped on.

I've added links to video reviews for you to check out.
