Question:
when my fifth wheel is hooked up to the gooseneck ball the hitch sits at an angle and im making sure its going to be safe going on long trips

The Convert-A-Ball Offset 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 secures to you 5th wheel trailer's king pin with 3 bolts that hold it in place flush against the bottom of the pin box. If you refer to the linked photo you'll see these bolts. I would first make sure this coupler is properly secured to the trailer's king pin.
Next I would check that you have the height adjustment at the correct position that keeps the trailer level when it is hitched. The adapter has a height adjustment range of 4-inches so make sure the height is set so that the level trailer and truck can be coupled.
