I have a flat bed truck that has the gooseneck ball recessed in the bed. Will this hitch adapter adjust enough to reach the ball.

Offset gooseneck adapters like the part # CAB-C5GX1216 don't fit well with recessed flat bed style gooseneck hitch balls.
You would want an adapter with a straight shot down from where it attaches to the trailer to the gooseneck ball. For that I would go with the Ranch Hitch part # AM3100. This should work well for you and won't interfere with the recessed portion of your bed.
