Replacement Bearings 2788 and 1779

Asked a question on Friday... But better info leads me to this. Purchased hub/drum combo 655-6-k from you. Originally bearings were 2788 inner and 1779 outer. My question is- is there a bearing set that will accommodate my spindle?

Bearing # 2788 has an inner diameter of 1.50-inches and fits race # 2729. Bearing # 1779 has an inner diameter of 0.938-inches and fits race # 1729. We do offer all of these bearing and race parts and if you wish you can install new bearings in your current hubs.

The idler hub you referenced, part # AKIHUB-655-6-K, uses different bearings that have different dimensions. The bearings in this hub are inner bearing # 25580 (1.75-inch inner diameter) and outer bearing # 15123 (1.25-inch inner diameter). Since the bearings are quite different in size hub # AKIHUB-655-6-K will not fit your current spindles.

We do not have hubs that use your bearings so you may find it easier to replace the entire axle which will give you the axle beam, spindles, brakes and matching hub/drums with bearings races and seals. For example, axle kit # 8327830-EB is a 6K axle 89-inches long with 74-inch spring centers, 6-on-5-1/2 hubs and electric brakes.
