Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Does Not Work at Trailer Connector
Question:
I have a 03 dodge 3500 that I just put a brake control in. I tested the controller everything work but I don’t get a signal at the plug for the trailer?

If the brake output is active at the back of the controller but then not active at the 7-way connector that would indicate you have a short on that circuit somewhere between the two. It could be as simple as corrosion on the pins of the 7-way or even at the back but if not you'd have to trace the wiring to find the short and fix as needed.
