Question:
The trailer I am trying to fit an axle to has a 70 inch spring center and 85.5 inch hub face to face length, any suggestions?

I do have a potential option for your trailer, however we do not have any standard axles that match the spring center and hub face lengths on your existing unit.
If you don't want to go through a local trailer shop or fabricator to obtain a matching thru axle, I recommend taking a look at the Timbren Axle-Less System instead. These use independent suspension components that will install on any frame width and usually eliminate the need for a thru-axle altogether. Because the progressive-rate springs work independently they will also provide a much smoother ride during travel compared to traditional leaf spring setups.
If you are needing a 3,500 pound model like what you were looking at the Timbren # ASR3500S05 will work perfectly. I have included a link that will also take you to our complete selection of Timbren Axle-Less systems that you can look through.
Lastly I have attached a couple demonstration videos so you can see exactly how they install and operate.
