Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System Compatible with Jeep for Matching Trailer

Question:

I have a heavy duty military trailer that I want to change out the axle and put in this: Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4inch Lift Spindle - Regular Tires - 3,500 lbs Item # ASR3500S06 that I think would work perfectly. The trailer weights in at about 2000 lbs total and will be used primarily for camping with light loads. Id like to have hubs that match the Jeep tow vehicle,, which uses 5x5.5 hubs. Do you have hubs with this bolt pattern? Thanks

For the Timbren Axle-Less kit compatible with the bolt pattern of 5 on 5 like a Jeep, you would need the 2,200 lb capacity # ASR1THDS03. The spindles on the Timbren system are a little larger than their thru-axle counterparts, so the 3,500 lbs # ASR3500S06 will only fit larger hubs that won't have the bolt pattern you seek.

Using # ASR1THDS03, you can then use the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 5 on 5 # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K or the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K.

If you have the 5-on-5.5 inch like you stated, then you would need hubs # AKIHUB-555-35-EZ-K or hub/drum # AKHD-555-35-EZ-K. I've attached an article to help you measure your bolt pattern to confirm which you have.

Question:

After taking measurements of my military M1101 trailer, I think this axle would work very well but one with a 2 inch lift would work better. Is there such a beast?

The Kodiak Trailer Hub for 5,200-lb to 6,000-lb Axles - 6 on 5-1/2 - Stainless Steel # KH42655S is a fit for that axle. You will however need the seal and bearings because they aren't included. So you will also want # 25580, # 15123, and seal # RG06-070. You can get these in kit # BK3-100.
