Replacement Hub Assembly for Dexter Hub Labeled 8-201 on Dexter P-29 Axle
Question:
Ive got a Dexter P-29, Modal SLR, D52, 13.3, 5200 max capacity axle. Currently I have Dexter drum with 208 and 8-201 marked on it.Picture attached Is the following hub and drum assembly the correct size: Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb and 6,000-lb Axles - 12inch Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 Item # AKHD-655-6-K

Thanks for the information on your hub. The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 5,200-lb Axles - 12" Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 # 8-201-5UC3 is the direct replacement from that manufacturer.
The Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb and 6,000-lb Axles - 12" Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 # AKHD-655-6-K will have the same bearings but will use a slightly different grease seal. The outer diameter of the seal is the same so the hubs match but you will want to replace the seal that comes in this hub assembly with the # RG06-090.
