When the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit w/ Built-In Charger # 20099 gets activated, your trailer brakes will immediately lock up. It sends the full 12 volts to your brakes to stop the trailer as soon as possible. This is assuming, of course, that the breakaway battery is fully charged, which should not be an issue with this kit due to its built-in battery charger.
