Troubleshooting 7-Way Install on 2018 Ford Explorer

Question:

Will this work on a 2018 Ford Explorer? I did notice that the brake, turn, and park/running lights are separate lights. I bought your recommended draw tite hitch and 7 way, but when I was hooking a 4 way up I get turn, but no brake lights or running lights with an adapter.

Though the Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 119190 is a universal hardwire kit, you will not need it with your 2018 Ford Explorer if you already have the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118272.

The problem almost certainly is the 7-way connector was wired incorrectly after you plugged it into your Explorer, or that you have not fully seated the wires into the connector. If you take a look at the cut out of the linked installation instructions you can see exactly where the wires from your Explorer should go in the 7-way connector and I also strongly recommend taking a look at the linked installation video of this connector on a 2018 Explorer. I believe if you double check that you have both made the proper connections and fully seated the wires in the harness you will resolve the issue.
