When you speak of a stud drill to enlarge the hole for the spacer bar, how big of a stud drill bit should I get? How wide is the spacer? 2015 Subaru Outback

The etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # E98847 requires using a 17/32 inch drill bit to install and then we recommend using a rotary tool with a carbide bit to enlarge the hole for the spacers to 1.125 inches. I've attached a photo as well as the complete instructions to assist. The spacer is 1/4 inch by 1 inch by 3 inches.
I've attached a video of this installation to assist.
