Question:
I am pure tasing a tow hitch. I use both a 4 flat and 7 pole for a couple different trailers. One is a camper and one is a snowmobile trailer. Which wiring harness should I purchase to fit this mounting bracket? 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End - HM40975 My question is do I need 2 wiring harness or does one harness do both?

The big difference between 7-way and 4-way trailer wiring applications is if the trailer has brakes. If the trailer does not the 4-way is the common connector style but if the trailer does have brakes the 7-way is used.
To cover everything the 7-way is the way to go for your 2015 Toyota Highlander with the kit part # 22119. You can then replace the inluded 7-way socket with the part # HM40975 and you'd have both connectors so you know you'd be covered.
