so I dont need to buy another wedge the wedge that is with the revolution will work with the patriot 16k

Yes, the universal wedge that came with your Reese Revolution pivoting pin box will work the the B&W Patriot 5th wheel hitch # BWRVK3200 to prevent having two pivot points at the same time (at the hitch jaws and at the pin box turret). However, you'll get a better and more secure fit if you use a custom wedge # SWW-06 that is made specifically for the Patriot hitch.
