Trailer Axle Compatibility with 5 on 5 Inch Hubs for Trailer Upgrade

Question:

Need Help with Hubs Up Grade Hey guys, Sorry I might sound like every other guy out there that asks this question. I am trying too change Mobile Home hubs with the MH axles to standard hubs. I would like to do this as on a budget as possible. I would like to see If this can be done to put 5X5 bolt pattern wheels on it that I have laying around. The spindles are : Seal inside diameter 2.130 Inboard Bearing surface is 1.75 Outboard Bearing surface is 1.25 I know I used the word budget but if this is possible could I have it priced both ways on one axle with brakes or all 4 with out. This is on a project trailer that will be a total of 3,500lbs gross trailer and load. Thanks

For your trailer you will actually need to change out your axles. The spindles you mentioned are not compatible with any of the 5 on 5 inch hubs. All of the options for the 5 on 5 inch hub assemblies are for 3,500 lb axles with # L68149 inner bearings and # L44649 outer bearing. I've linked the page to all your options to assist.

Then I've linked the page to all your axles that are compatible and you will want to determine the hub to hub dimension required as well as your spring seat center on center dimensions. If you can't find the dimensions you need, then the final option you have which is a universal fit is to use the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System like # ASR1THDS02 or 4 inch lift # ASR1THDS03. These axles will give you a max load capacity of 2,200 lbs but will give you the 5 on 5 inch hubs you are seeking.
