Will this work on a craftsman mid size tool box purchased from lowes. Lowes item#1053451 I am using It on a 2019 Chevy Colorado crew cab with a 5ft bed.

You could potentially mount the Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Load Stops # EM07705 with the Lowe's toolbox that you referenced but unless you moved the forward-most uprights behind the toolbox it would be sitting just on the U-Bolts so you'd have to drill holes in it.
I recommend using the Thule TracRac TracONE which comes in Silver # TH27000XT and Matte Black # TH27000XTB with the Toolbox Mount Kit # TH41000 to mount this toolbox on your Colorado instead as this is designed for a toolbox and no modification is necessary.
