For your boat trailer, I recommend using a 145/80-12 to replace the 165/70-12 tires that you have on your trailer now. This new size will only be slightly narrower and about the same diameter as the tires you have now so there will be no fit issues with this new size.
I recommend the Kenda Karrier S-Trail part # AM10140 which has a radial ply so it will be great for highway trips and it has a two year warranty. As long as your trailer/boat does not weigh more than 1,520 lbs multiplied by the number of tires you have then this will be an excellent replacement option for you.
