Question:
Can the bracket for the Brophy scissor step be mounted directly to your pickup? I would mount them just above the bumper and below the 4inch overhang of my slide in camper. I have a 2005 Tundra. Do you have a photo of such an installation?

The Brophy Camper Scissor Steps part # AS24 are designed to be mounted directly to the camper, just below the door where there is sufficient support. The area you are referring just below the bed floor and above the bumper would have plenty of support for the steps but you would need to make sure they have room to extend down without hitting the rear bumper. If you are able to do so then I would say this is perfectly fine but unfortunately I don't have any photos of such installation.
