Question:
Can I convert the A16 to a slider to eliminate my sidewinder pinbox. I have had two curt wedges split and no longer want to use sidewinder. And would it have to be manual or can it be an auto slider. I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali with prep package and a 2015 Rockwood 8289 fifth wheel. Thanks

Yes, you can convert your Curt A16 5th wheel hitch over to a sliding version by using the Curt R16 Round Tube Slider # C16560 as well as the Adapter Rails # C16023. This is a manual sliding 5th wheel hitch.
If you'd rather upgrade to an autosliding 5th wheel hitch then you need the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 and the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6194. This option is less cost-effective but does offer the convenience of being able to stay in your cab during tight turning situations which is really nice, especially when the weather is a bit nasty out.
