Does the pin head need to be lobed anywhere like the mechanism where the pin slides in

I attached a picture that I took from the install instructions for the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034 that you referenced that shows all of the components of it that need to be lubricated. From the handle, to the head to the autosliding components.
