Recommended Pin Box To Mitigate Chucking On Rough Michigan Roads

I have a 2019 Grand Design Solitued with a 2019 GMC 2500 and 6ft 6in bed. I have a Champion hitch puck fifth wheel hitch ordered thru etrailer. I have a Rota Flex Pin Box on my fifth wheel, but I really dont like the chucking and bouncing on rough Michigan roads. I am interested in a smoother ride but also do not want to reduce my turning radius. My Solitudes GVWR is 15000 #. I have been looking at the Lippert Flex Air, but am concerned that it will actually reduce my turning radius because it appears to crowd my truck more than my current Rota Flex. I have been looking at the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs as a potential option. I love the idea of being able to get 90 degree truning radius, but if the ride does not improve significantly over my current king pin I do not want to spend the money. Any insight on the 5th Airborne/Sidewinder or suggestions on other options?

I can definitely say that the 5th Airborne Premium is an improvement to the ride quality of a Rota-Flex pin box and I know you will be happy with it. We have had many customers confirm this over the years.

If you have a short bed on your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 that means you are using the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3770 and this sliding Companion is not compatible with the Sidewinder version of the 5th Airborne # RP61422 that you are looking at. Instead you need the stationary option # RP78FR which uses the same air ride technology. This just doesn't have the rotating turret.

Please note that you need to make sure your current pin box is a 1621 to ensure that this pin box is compatible. If you have a different number please let me know or let me know what your pin box serial number is and I can help you determine the correct fit from there.
