Is Crossbar of BlackHawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar Needed for Direct-Connect Kit on a 2019 Ram 1500

Question:

It doesn’t appear that the crossbar that comes with this towbar is needed with the baseplate that I installed. I have the road master direct connect baseplate kit installed on my Ram.... Is it not needed?

If you have the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522203-5 installed on your 2019 Ram 1500 then you won't need to use the crossbar that comes with the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain # RM-422 (see attached photo we took of this same setup on a Jeep). You can either store it in the event that you end up using a Roadmaster base plate kit that requires it in the future, or sell it to help offset the cost of a flat towing setup.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
