How To Choose the Correct Length of TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension
Question:
I’ve ordered and received a 48” super truss and just installed yesterday. Question is would proper length for my application be just to very end of camper without stinger or should it be protruding? I’ve attached a pic showing the protrusion past camper. This actually interferes with my camper steps. Thanks

The proper extension for your setup would be the one that allows you to have clearance of your hitch mounted accessory and also allows you to still be able to pull the steps down. If the receiver tube sticks out past the camper too far then you will run into issues with the stairs not being able to be pulled out but if the receiver tube does not stick out far enough from under the camper then you will run into issues with clearance using your hitch mounted accessory. The only way for sure to know which is correct for you would be to take very precise measurements.
Generally speaking, most hitches are recessed so your best option might be to go the next size down, the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension part # TLE1536 which is 36" long but measuring would be able to confirm this for you.
