How Do Multiple Trailer Light Assemblies Normally Attach to Running Light Circuit.

Hello I have read A LOT about the colors and proper runs of new wire in an old trailer. However, I can not find a simple photo or diagram of how to splice off a wire to make a run. Say, the brown wire. It does many lights. Once you get to the amber side or clearance lights at the back, how does one connect into the length of brown wire at that spot? What does a correct splice look likeAnd I assume the ground is another length of wire going to a clean connection somewhere but not too long on the frame. Any info would help. Thanks!

A lot of times people will use a butt connector to splice in the wiring of more than one light on trailer wiring. You'd put the end of the connector on the side that runs from the trailer connector and then run two wires into the other side to go to two separate lights. For connectors we have the part # DW05745-10.

You can do this a few times to get a few extra circuits ran.
