Weight Capacity Explained for Safety Chain Quick Link # 49135

If the capacity is 10,000 pounds. What is the 3,300 pound working capacity mean? Several people have asked but don’t see any replies. Could someone please clarify exactly what that means? Thank you.

A safety chain's working load limit (WLL) is always 1/3 of the chain's break strength and it is the limit you want to stay within in normal use. The part # 49135 has a break capacity of 10,000 lbs and a working load limit of 3,300 lbs. This means If you were planning to secure something that weighs 3,300 lbs this would be ideal. And it would hold it well till the force exerted on it exceeded 10,000 lbs.
