Does etrailer.com Hitch for 2018 Honda Odyssey Still Allow Handsfree Liftgate to Open

Question:

I have a touring model which has a kick to open. Does the etrailer hitch still work with it or does it need some sort of wiring adapter? Didn’t see anything mentioned in the part installation video.

All of the trailer hitch receivers that fit your 2018 Honda Odyssey may interfere with the handsfree liftgate. Usually, it only requires you to place your foot to the side of the receiver opening for the sensors to work. I've attached a video of the etrailer hitch part # e98855 that we installed and while it's recommended to purchase parts from Honda so the sensors can be moved you most likely won't have to go that route.
