How To Use a Trunk Mount Bike Rack While Towing a Trailer

Im wondering if its ok to use a trunk mount bike rack like the Yakima Fullback while towing a travel trailer on my 2013 Acura MDX which has a bare roof? Ideally Id like to put 3 bikes on the rack but could make do with 2 if there will be issues with turning when towing the trailer.

In order to use a trunk mount bike rack like the Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack part # Y02633 on your 2013 Acura MDX while also towing a trailer you would indeed need to extend the connection point in order to prevent any turning clearance issues. For this, a ball mount with extended shank will do the job just fine. I recommend the Curt Class III Drawbar part # C45270 but if you can provide me with your exact rise/drop needs I may have a better option for you.
There would likely be turning clearance issues if not using a ball mount with extended shank but there are too many variables to give a defiant yes or no answer.
