Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 1966 Ford F-100 With a Standard Bumper
Question:
What is a 10 inch bumper? The notes for this hitch say its for the 66 F-100 with the 10 inch bumper. I have no idea what that is. My truck has the original, steel/chrome, no-step bumper as installed by Ford. Will the Curt 13099 hitch work for my truck? Thanks, Jim

I have included a picture of what a deep drop bumper is going to look like for you. If your bumper looks more like the standard bumper, pictured in the FAQ I have linked for you, then you do not have the 10 inch bumper. You would then need a trailer hitch that is designed for the regular bumper, like # 41001. I have included a link to the installation details for both hitches.
I also recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring, use # 18252. I have included a link to a video that shows a typical installation.
