Air Bags or Timbrens Recommendation for 2017 Ford Explorer
Question:
Which would you recommend the air spring assist or this product and why? It looks like this product can carry more weight than the air spring assist product.

For your 2017 Ford Explorer the choice of suspension enhancement comes down to a few things and what you value the most. The Timbren kit part # TFRFLX provides a super easy install, no maintenance, and great suspension support. The downside though is that unloaded ride quality will suffer since the spring is pretty harsh. If you will be in need of suspension enhancement basically all the time and like the no-maintenance aspect this is the winner.
But if you need to have a decent ride quality when the vehicle is unloaded and don't mind checking air pressure here and there you'd want the Air Lift kit part # AL60821. This kit allows you to infinitely adjust the amount of support (if any) that you need so you can always have the perfect amount of ride quality and support. Downside is you have to maintain air pressure and set the amount of support you want manually. For a vehicle like yours I'd imagine this is what will make you the happiest so it's what I would recommend.
An easy compressor solution is the Bulldog Winch Compressor part # BDW41001 which plugs into a cigarette lighter port on your Explorer.
