Question:
Hello I was going through my owners manual and it states that the mopar wiring harness must be used to prevent damage to the steering system. Do you know what type of damage they are talking about. And does the wiring harness take care of this that comes with the brake system? Thank you.

The front wheel wobble issue with the 2017 Cherokee is fairly well known at this point and it is referenced in the owner's manual, on page 354 of the online edition.
That page of the manual does warn owners to be certain to use the "proper MOPAR wiring kit to power the steering system during recreational towing". Without this part the steering system can be damaged.
The part number is 68321424AB and it can only be obtained through Jeep. It is designed to keep the electric steering system powered when the vehicle is flat towed. This part effectively corrects the issue.
