Yes, if you plan on towing a trailer and not just use it for non-trailer loads like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, you need a wiring harness to power up the trailer lights. If your 2010 Mazda Tribute is equipped with a factory tow package you need item # 118251. If your vehicle does not have a factory tow package then you need item # 118551. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118551 will work either with or without backup sensors. I recommend the 4-Flat Universal Mounting Bracket # 118149 for a cleaner, more professional look.

I have confirmed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75751 is a fit for your 2010 Mazda Tribute. This is a great no-drill option. If you don't already have a ball, ball mount and hitch pin and clip you can use our etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches # 989900 which includes the two most common size trailer hitch balls, two different ball mounts, two pins and clips and a handy storage bag.
