Upgrading 4-Way of Trailer to 7-Way to Power Trailer Winch

I am trying to wire a 4 prong plus a 12Volt motor for boat winch on a 7 plug . I just cant seem to get it right . The boat is standard it has 5 wires... white, yellow and brown , and green and brown. Now I need to add 12 volt power to the electric winch . Also it is a dodge Ram with both 4 prong and seven prong stock on truck. please help Thank you

On a trailer 7-way the pin in the 1:00 position is the 12 volt accessory circuit. You'll need to make sure that pin is active on the truck side of the wiring. But there's no way to carry that charge circuit on just a 4-way so you'll have to install a 7-way on you boat trailer.

For that your best option is the 7-way upgrade kit part # e99011 which comes with a junction box and everything needed to upgrade the 4-way to a 7-way and once you run some 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 from the 12 volt pin of the junction box to the winch you'd be set.
