The hitch option for the 2019 Volkswagen GTI that does not require trimming or modifying the bumper is the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7375. However, this installation may require possible minor exhaust modification, it does not require bumper or fascia trimming. We do not carry an option that does not require some type of trimming whether it be bumper or exhaust on the GTI. The Stealth hitch is a great option visually because is it completely hidden once installed. The receiver portion of the hitch is removable when you are not towing. It does tow up to 2000 lbs gross trailer weight and 300 lbs tongue weight.

For the trailer wiring, I recommend Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56405 for the GTI. I have attached an installation video for your reference.

If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If you are not sure of what rise/drop ball mount or ball size you need this kit has your bases covered.
