Weight of 1,200 lb Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs

Question:

Im working on an ultralight trailer design and need to know weights of parts. This looks potentially considerably lighter than an axle assembly. Gross loaded weight must be under 400 lb, and even lighter is better. It will not be hauling heavy loads. Ever.

The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 - Off-Road Tires - 1,200 lbs # A12WS545 you referenced has a shipping weight of 75 lbs, so when you subtract packaging it will be approximately 70 lbs.

I have added a link to a video review of this system for you to check out.

Question:

Thanks for the answer. 70 pounds, surprising how much they weigh. I just saw that there's an axle-less Timbren setup with 400 lb capacity. So, same question: How much does the product weigh? Seems like I should know this one, too, but it's not obvious from my (half ass) research: Is the 400lb capacity per axle or per pair? (aka: with these axles, it the gross vehicle weight 400 or 800 lb?) Thanks!

Happy to help, and the shipping weight of the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 400 lbs # A4RS440 is 61 lbs, so their total weight will be in the range of about 55 lbs to 58 lbs.

And you're right, the capacity is not obvious but this system has a total capacity of 400 lbs, which is the lowest capacity for these Timbren Axle-Less systems, with the next lowest being the 1,200 lb system you asked about before.
