Can you use this adaptor in a recessed gooseneck ball like the CM Flatbed with built in ball in box?

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 can be used with most recessed gooseneck hitch balls but it all depends on the actual dimensions of the cutout. I don't have any info on your CM Flatbed but I have attached for you a photo that shows the dimensions needed for the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter.
If you measure from the center of your hitch ball out 5" in a circle, this would then be the space needed for the adapter to clear.
