Can Two Hitch Extenders Be Used to Create More Clearance
Question:
I recently purchased your 18inch extension for my 2inch hitch and it still isnt enough. Since its the longest you sell could I buy a second one and add it to the other one for a 36inch extension? I get your point on it would cut the capacity to less than half and could cause the nose of my vessel to be too high but that could be solved by using a down hitch with it when launching depending on the water height and boat ramp decline. I will only be using it to launch my jet ski at a neighborhood ramp across the street from my home which is not steep at all

While I do have a potential solution for you, I do not recommend adding another extender adapter to your existing Tow Ready Hitch Extender # HE18. This is just going to create way too much instability and it could lead to damage because of the additional leverage it creates, even for short-term applications like what you need it for.
While it's still going to create more leverage since it's extending the load out further from the bumper, a better option is to use your current extender with a longer ball mount like the Brophy # EA40. This particular unit measures 14-5/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole.
Going with this solution eliminates the need for the additional connection point of another adapter, which is ultimately what reduces the capacity when they're in use. I have attached a short video review on this ball mount along with a link that will take you to our complete selection of longer models like this.
